Metal
Metal is one of the worst offenders. It reflects electromagnetic waves, making it nearly impossible for WiFi signals to pass through. This includes metal doors, filing cabinets, ductwork, and even foil-lined insulation. Drywall
Drywall has a small impact on WiFi, but the problem adds up if you need the signal to pass through multiple walls. For apartments or homes with many rooms, drywall can be a slow drain on signal strength.
