Installation

Step 1: Install the Blade OTR Antenna
Installing the Blade OTR Antenna will be slightly different depending on which mount you have.
For M8 Rail Mount
1. Slide the ball joint onto your vehicle’s rail
2. Attach the rest of the mounting setup
3. Screw on the Bolton Blade antenna and adjust as desired
For Basket Clasp Mount
1. Attach basket clasp mount to your vehicle’s basket using an Allen wrench
2. Configure the rest of the mounting setup
3. Screw on the Bolton Blade antenna and adjust as desired
Route Cable
Route cable from outside to the inside of the cabin behind a door seal where your booster will be located.

Step 2: Install Inside Flat Antenna
Identify a location for the inside antenna or near your front dashboard that is:
1. Within 2-3 ft of the most common cell phone location
2. At least 8 inches from cellular devices
3. At least 4 inches from metal
Next, peel the Velcro backing and apply to a clean dry surface in your chosen location.
Or, use the free vent clip provided by with your product as a mounting surface then clip it to the air vent. -
Step 3: Place Booster and Connect Cables
Select a well-ventilated area away from excessive heat, direct sunlight, and moisture. We usually recommend installing the booster under a seat or within the front console.
Connect the cable from the outside antenna to the connection marked OUTSIDE and connect the cable from inside flat antenna to the connection marked INSIDE. Tighten the connections and wrap up any loose cable. You may need to use the included adapters to connect the cables properly.
NOTE: Included adapters may be needed to connect cable to booster. -
4. Connect Power
Connect the power cord connector to the signal booster and insert the other end into your cigarette lighter adapter. The Power LED illuminates to show the signal booster is ready for use. The Alert LEDs flash 5 times to show the frequency band is operational.
Note: When your vehicle is off, turn the power switch to OFF to keep the booster from continuing to draw power from your vehicle.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Velocity boost 5G?
The Velocity is 5G ready, which means that it can boost data up to 5G speeds. It is future-proof and will work with new technologies. The Blade OTR antenna is 100% 5G capable and can capture low and mid-band 5G signal across all carriers.
Does the Velocity work when the vehicle is turned off?
As the Velocity works via the cigarette lighter in your vehicle, it will differ from truck to truck. Some vehicles will power the booster with the ignition on, while some will work even with the car completely off. To avoid draining your car battery, we recommend turning the power switch to OFF.
Do I need cell signal for the Velocity to work?
Yes. For any signal booster to work you need at least one bar of outside signal.
What's the difference between the different Velocity kits?
Each Velocity kit comes with a different set of antennas. The standard kit (BT459624-M) has a Mighty Mag magnet mount antenna and an inside flat panel antenna. This trucker kit (BT459624-T) has an outside Blade antenna and an inside flat panel antenna. The RV kit (BT459624-RV) has an outside Blade antenna and an inside whip antenna.

Will the Bolton Velocity Off-Road Work on All Trails?
Cellular boosters amplify existing cell signals, they do not create them. Thus, the Bolton Velocity Off-Road will keep you and your passengers connected on any trail or campground that has a sliver of cell signal.
Will the Bolton Velocity Off-Road Work Outside My Vehicle or Inside My Rooftop Tent?
The Bolton Velocity Off-Road is designed for in-vehicle use. Most often than not, the signal it broadcasts will not reach outside your cab. Though, if you move the inside antenna, it could work in hard-shell rooftop tents. With soft-shell tents, the signal may not propagate as needed to get a signal boost.
Can I Run a Hotspot with the Bolton Velocity Off-Road?
Yes. Hotspots rely on cellular signals to function. The Bolton Velocity Off-Road is designed to enhance cellular network connectivity. If a hotspot is within range of the Bolton Velocity Off-Road, it will receive stronger cellular signals and perform better.
Can the Bolton Velocity Off-Road Improve GPS Signal?
If your navigation system is powered by a cellular network, the Velocity Off-Road will improve your GPS signal.
How is the Bolton Velocity Off-Road Powered?
The Bolton Velocity Off-Road comes with a DC power supply (BT459815). You can connect it to your cigarette lighter or an external power supply that’s equipped to power the Velocity Off-Road. If you prefer it to be hardwired, a hardwired power supply is available separately.
Will the ball and socket mount make the Bolton Blade more resilient?
Yes, with this setup you can rest assured that your Blade OTR antenna can take on even the most challenging offroad environments.
What do I do if my signal doesn’t improve with the Bolton Velocity kit?
Firstly, make sure your inside and booster are far enough away from each other. If that still doesn’t work, make sure all your cables are connected properly.
