The high-powered mobile router requires a FirstNet SIM card to work. It uses the AT&T cellular network to create a WiFi hotspot for devices to connect to. It's high transmission power on Band 14 allows for better building penetration and increased reach to cell towers.
Does the Nextivity SHIELD MegaFi Only Work on Band 14?
No. In addition to FirtNet Band 14, the FirstNet MegaFi also supports AT&T bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 17, 29, 30, and 66. High-power mode, however, only works on Band 14.
